Queensland Opposition Leader Lawrence Springborg has called on the government to immediately reveal the state of its coffers during the global economic crisis.
Last week, state Education Minister Rod Welford broke cabinet ranks saying revenues had collapsed - a comment later clarified by Premier Anna Bligh.
'We need an honest disclosure today from the treasurer of Queensland as to what the revenue situation is in this state,' Mr Springborg said in a speech to the Urban Development Institute of Australia in Brisbane on Wednesday.
'(Treasurer) Andrew Fraser should be prepared to come clean today and fess up to the people of Queensland about the extent of the revenue decreases in Queensland as a consequence of the economic situation nationally and internationally.'
Mr Springborg said the revenues were said to be diminishing by tens of millions of dollars every month.
'We need to know what the truth is, because it is only when we know the truth that you are better able to understand ... whether we can meet our commitments to the public servants and their aspirations for a wage rise in Queensland and also what is happening with infrastructure in Queensland,' he said

ABOR'S success or failure in Macarthur at the next state election hangs on upgrading Glenfield Station, Macquarie Fields MP Andrew McDonald has warned State Cabinet.
Whether the work would go ahead will not be known until the state mini budget on November 11.
A new platform, 400 parking spaces, footbridge and concourse, and flyovers to the station's north and south, are planned as part of the South-West Rail link from Glenfield to Leppington project being reconsidered by the NSW Treasury.
Dr McDonald said: My whole electorate catches a train at Glenfield and the station is unacceptable at the moment. The most important issue here is transport. Hospitals are important, too, but they're being looked at.''
Campbelltown councillor Paul Hawker (Liberal) last week raised the uncertainty of the station's upgrading
