Cabinet door pulls

Article source Link, Article source Link,

It seems like everyone these days has an opinion on the presidency of George W. Bush, and Oliver Stone, the director of 'W.,' is no exception.
With his former celluloid treatment of presidents (see JFK and Nixon), I went into his latest biopic expecting blatant liberal bias and a prolonged caricature, and what I got instead was a meditation on what it would be like to walk in the shoes of good ole Bush himself.
The film starts appropriately 'in media res' with the 43rd president of the United States (Josh Brolin) consulting his cabinet on the situation with Iraq, mind you, before we went to war in that region. (The film travels via flashback through the life and times -- with the past few years noticeably missing.) Yes, though this includes numerous 'Bush-isms' and his more embarrassing experiences, including a DUI and choking on a pretzel, Stone still lays a suitable framework from which the viewer can discern the intent behind the invasion of Iraq.
If there is one point at which I take issue with this movie, however, it's the reasoning that his deep-seated daddy issues make for the final push for the Iraq War. According to the movie, Bush feels responsible for taking down Saddam because it's what his dad never managed to do during Desert Storm -- and it all feels a little farfetched. It definitely seems feasible that the younger Bush would have a problem with the long shadow of his father, affectionately referred to as 'pappy,' but not to the extent that he'd sacrifice American lives to get out of it.
Josh Brolin as the titular character absolutely disappears into his role and never comes back out again

Our department of law in Alaska has right there on its Web site, it says: 'If you have a problem with an Alaska state trooper,' the paragraph says, 'you go to the commissioner of the department of public safety and you share that concern.'
That's what Todd did. So, no, I don't think that it was an abuse of power of my office at all. And I was very thankful that that report cleared me of any illegal dealings or anything else. I replaced the commissioner because he was not doing the job that I expect of my cabinet members, and that is you serve the Alaskan population up there, it's - of course he's a cabinet member who was assigned to do that to the best of our team's ability.
