The ABSU said it would move Gauhati High Court against police inaction in arresting the culprits after the court reopens on October 29.
The government has resorted to a tactic to delay proceedings. The re-tests has no meaning after so many days of the crime and the victims destroying all evidence, having taken a bath and washing the clothes they were wearing at the time of the alleged assault, ABSU vice-president Promode Boro said.
Bodo Women Justice Forum president Anjali Daimary said the victims have already identified the culprits and they should be arrested immediately, she asserted.
Even while the rape case dominated discussions in Mangaldoi and Udalguri, members of the Bhumidhar Barman-led cabinet sub-committee today visited the clash-hit Udalguri and Darrang districts to discuss the rehabilitation, relief and security of those affected in the riots that erupted on October 3.
Bodoland People s Front (BPF) MLA Karendra Basumatary, on the other hand, urged the government to shift the pregnant women to hospitals following the death of three children at the relief camps in Darrang district recently.
Now, Osborne insists he did not 'solicit' an illegal loan from Mr Deripaska - meaning that he didn't stand on a corner under a red light with his knickers showing. But Osborne's advisers did discuss the possibility of donations in various meetings with the richest Russian. Deripaska was advised to channel it through a UK firm he owns - the LDV truck plant. Shades of Wendy Alexander.
So what was Deripaska getting out of this arrangement? Well, that's the great unanswered question, isn't it? It has emerged that Peter Mandelson, the former EU trade commissioner, has been hand in glove with Deripaska since before he became an EU trade commissioner in 2004. Now, Peter Mandelson resigned from the British Cabinet twice - once for failing to register a loan from a businessman and again for appearing to tout for a passport for a foreign billionaire.
I just wonder what Mandelson could have been discussing in all those meetings with the Russian oligarch? Perhaps flower arranging or stamp collecting. Certainly not Russian aluminium interests in Europe
