While the cinema will be showing the films for public entertainment, its existence is part of a wider arts project called Portavilion, in which high profile artists have created portable 'pavilions' for different parks across London.
The cinema has been on display in Regent's Park during the summer.
Portavilion, curated by 'up projects', has been backed by Westminster Council, which has provided funding and support for community education and arts events while the cinema was in Regent's Park.
These included kite-making workshops and story telling sessions in St John's Wood Library and 'pin-hole camera walks' over the summer.
Westminster Council's cabinet member for customers and neighbourhoods Cllr Audrey Lewis said: 'Ingenious projects like this bring new ideas of what is art to people's minds.
'I hope the cinema will give our residents a different perspective of the life and history of Regent's Park, one of the Westminster's cherished open spaces.'
The cinema will be open between midday and 5pm tomorrow and on Sunday.
REYKJAVIK (Reuters) - Iceland's prime minister said on Friday that the cabinet had agreed to begin formal negotiations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to request $2 billion (1.26 billion pounds) in aid from the Washington-based lender.
Iceland's financial system has all but collapsed and its economy is suffering badly after the country was forced to take over three of its biggest, debt-laden banks this month.
Prime Minister Geir Harde, in a press briefing broadcast on Icelandic television, said he did not think the fund had laid out any unacceptable conditions.
