Though the crucial Cabinet meet to decide on the ban of Bajrang Dal ended inconclusively on Wednesday (October 8), sources have told TIMES NOW that a decision on a ban is likely to be delayed further following differences within the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government over implementation and efficacy of a ban.
The Congress and their allies are said to be strongly in favour of banning the Hindu fundamentalist outfit, alleged to be behind the anti-Christian violence in Orissa and other states.
Senior Cabinet Ministers are said to have expressed reservations over a decision on the ban hastily without taking a structured approach especially when there are still doubts over whether the ban can stand legal scrutiny.
National Convenor of the Bajrang Dal, Prakash Sharma, reacted to the possible ban saying they had nothing to do with the violence in Orissa and Karnataka, 'The Bajrang Dal has not done any wrong
